Supriya Kumar has a PhD in Molecular Biology and an MPH in Behavioral and Community Health. She studied vaccine uptake behavior during the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic. She has used realistic, data-driven computational models of disease transmission to assess the impact of paid sick days on reducing respiratory infection inequalities in the US, and also conducted surveys to examine contact mixing in a rural population in India.
