Justin Lawrence is a planetary science PhD student at Georgia Tech. His research is primarily conducted in Antarctica with the Planetary Habitability & Technology lab, which uses AUVs to explore the unknown oceans beneath ice shelves. This work is motivated not only by a need to better understand the relationship between Earth's ice shelves and warming oceans, but also to develop the tools for eventual exploration of other ocean worlds in our solar system.
