Microbiology and Immunology

University of Louisville

I'm a doctoral candidate in microbiology and immunology at the University of Louisville. My research is on nutritional virulence of Legionella pneumophila, which causes Legionnaire's disease. These bacteria are considered to be "accidental human pathogens"; a lot of their abilities to cause damage to us comes from it just trying to acquire some food (it really likes to eat amino acids).
